Xangans are Asian

Interesting statistic. Apparently, according to US demographic data, 45% of xanga visitors are Asian. They're also mostly females and have children 6-17.

Think I'm BSing? check the stats     Xanga.com - Quantcast Audience Profile

I don't know how they got this data... i think it's bs but it's pretty interesting...

oh shoot, I didn't know you're a chiropractor. You know anything about jaws locking? I haven't visited my chiropractor for the longest time! And for some reason I don't trust them with my jaws? haha

I've had great success with jaws. It comes down to nerves that tell the muscles to move, the muscles doing the moving, and the joint. In the joint are ligaments and miniscus. All of those need to be looked at.
I have no problem having you mention your locking jaw to your dentist first. Besides an oral apparatus for you to bite on, I don't think there's much else he can do for you.
A physical therapist doesn't set the jaw back into alignment.
Orthopedist might or might not do anything for you, they're not exactly conservative nor minimally invasive. If your meniscus is torn, then they'd be a good person to see.
I'd call some chiropractors in your area and ask them what training/education they've had in TMJ. Sorry we weren't closer together in location. You're welcome to come to Sacramento and I'd definitely conduct a thorough examination to get to the bottom of it.
Good luck!
